In today's world, disabled people and elderly individuals have more choice than ever when it comes to their mobility. Gone are the days of cumbersome wheelchairs as we now rely on electric wheelchairs, scooters, and power chairs to help individuals get around. There are many of these devices on the market and it can be hard to find the best one. I've reviewed many of these such as the Pride Mobility Jazzy Sport 2 Electric Wheelchair which I look at here.
Why an Electric Wheelchair?
For disabled individuals and older individuals, and an electric wheelchair is an ideal choice. A regular wheelchair is quite hard to move around. You need a lot of hand strength and arm strength to move the wheels. If you are elderly, you usually need someone behind you to push the wheelchair. With an electric wheelchair, an individual can move the wheelchair on their own and they don't need much assistance. This gives a disabled person or an older individual a lot more personal freedom.
This wheelchair has great stability and a front-wheel-drive system. It uses inline motor technology, so the wheelchair is maneuverable and compact. It features a 40-amp, PG GC3 controller for easy driving. You can easily access the batteries from the rear of the vehicle. The Mainframe is a simple design, so it can be serviced with ease. There's a comfortable high back seat which also has a headrest. This wheelchair has controller and shroud guards which protect this wheelchair from tear and wear from daily use. This chair will go up to 4 mph and travel up to 13 miles. The chair can carry individuals up to 300 pounds.
This wheelchair has a five-year warranty on the frame. The electronics on the wheelchair are covered for 13 months. The drive motors of this wheelchair are covered for 13 months. This electric wheelchair has also gone through extensive testing and it has plenty of certifications to ensure your safety when you're driving it. When looking for a scooter or a power chair, it's important to look for these safety certifications and features. The downside, it's not as rugged as some wheelchairs and there's no safety light.
If you're looking for a good electric wheelchair, this is one you might want to buy. It's perfect most terrain types and it will get you to where you want to go. It has a lot of features that you're going to love and it's a big step above a regular wheelchair as it gives you plenty of mobility and Independence.
