Asko 24" Vented Dryer, Classic, White - T208VW

CLASSIC VENTED DRYER - WHITE Short drying times, energy saving Auto programs and a convenient program specially designed for Bedding is some of the features you get with the T208VW The long-lasting stainless steel drum rest on no less than six ball bearings, making the drum and the driving belt run smooth with less noise and improved life-time. With the easy to use Lint Trap and the patent pending Front Filter you protect the condenser and rest of the tumble dryer from lint.

Features

Butterfly Drying

This smart feature is our own invention. It saves both the motor and your ironing board. The unique paddles inside the drum tumble the clothes in a figure eight to prevent the clothes from bundling. This leads to a reduced need to reverse the drum rotation. This is an intelligent function which saves the motor and the belt from any unnecessary strain and your clothes from creasing.

Stainless steel drum

At ASKO, we believe not only that stainless steel will outlast for example, plastic, but also that quality materials will always look better in years to come. Eventually, galvanised steel rusts, so we decided to make our drums out of stainless steel. That s why our tumble dryers really do last longer.

Auto Synthetic

By using the Auto Synthetic program with its lower temperature and shorter tumbling time, you will automatically take care of your blouses and shirts the right way.

Airing

Use the Airing option to freshen up your clothes or get rid of hair from your pets. Cool tumbling for any length of time can be used also for delicate garments.

Anti-Crease

The Anti-crease automatically rotates the drum for three seconds every minute to prevent your clothes to wrinkle. The program runs for two hours after the program is finished.

Line Concept

All our tumble dryers are designed according to the Line Concept, which offers a logic way of using the machines, from left to right.

Maintenance Tips

The Asko T208VW is a compact, efficient vented dryer designed to deliver reliable performance. To keep it functioning at its best and extend its lifespan, here are some essential maintenance tips:

1. Clean the Lint Filter

  • After Every Load: Always clean the lint filter after each load to prevent lint buildup, which can reduce drying efficiency and pose a fire risk.
  • Deep Cleaning: Periodically, rinse the filter with warm water to remove any residual fabric softener or detergent buildup, which may cause reduced airflow.

2. Clean the Ventilation Ducts

  • Check Regularly: Inspect the vent duct at least once a year for lint accumulation. Blockages can affect the dryer’s performance and efficiency, potentially causing overheating or longer drying times.
  • Use a Vent Brush: Use a vent cleaning brush or hire a professional to clean the ductwork, ensuring that the air can flow freely.

3. Check the Exhaust Vent

  • Clear the Vent Opening: Ensure that the exterior vent opening is free of obstructions, such as leaves or debris, that could block airflow. This will help the dryer operate efficiently and prevent overheating.
  • Inspect for Damage: Check the vent hose for any cracks or damage. Replace the hose if needed to avoid reduced airflow.

4. Clean the Dryer Drum

  • Wipe Down: After each load, wipe down the inside of the dryer drum with a soft cloth to remove lint, dust, and detergent residue.
  • Deep Cleaning: Periodically, use a damp cloth with mild soap to clean the drum thoroughly and prevent buildup that could cause odors or staining on clothes.

5. Check the Dryer Feet

  • Level the Dryer: Ensure that the dryer is properly leveled to prevent excess vibration during operation. Use a spirit level and adjust the feet as needed to keep the dryer stable.
  • Prevent Noise: A level dryer will run more quietly and prevent unnecessary wear on internal components.

6. Inspect the Power Cord and Plug

  • Check for Wear: Inspect the power cord and plug for any signs of fraying, cracks, or damage. A damaged power cord can pose a safety hazard and should be replaced immediately.
  • Ensure Proper Connection: Make sure the dryer is plugged into a grounded outlet. Avoid using extension cords, as they can create a fire hazard.

7. Run a Maintenance Cycle

  • Empty Dryer Cycle: Run an empty drying cycle on the hottest setting once a month. This will help clear any lint in the dryer’s internal parts and ensure the system is running at peak efficiency.
  • Use Dryer Cleaner: You can use a dryer cleaning agent specifically designed to remove lint or fabric softener buildup from the machine.

8. Check the Moisture Sensor (if applicable)

  • Ensure Proper Functioning: If your model includes a moisture sensor, periodically check it for any buildup of fabric softener or debris. Clean the sensor gently with a soft cloth and mild soap if necessary to maintain its accuracy.

9. Maintain the Exterior

  • Wipe Down: Keep the exterior of the dryer clean by wiping it down with a soft cloth and mild detergent. This helps maintain its appearance and removes any dust or residue that may accumulate.
  • Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Avoid using abrasive or harsh cleaning chemicals that could damage the surface.

10. Monitor Dryer Performance

  • Listen for Unusual Noises: Pay attention to any unusual noises such as squeaks, rattles, or grinding. These could indicate a problem with the drum rollers, motor, or other internal parts. If you notice any issues, consult a technician for repair.
  • Check Drying Time: If you notice that drying times are getting longer, it could be a sign of clogged vents or other maintenance needs. Address these promptly to restore efficiency.
