Maintenance Tips
  • Clean After Each Use: Wipe the surface with mild soap and warm water; rinse and dry thoroughly—do not soak.

  • Oil Regularly: Apply food-grade mineral oil or butcher block conditioning oil often (weekly with heavy use) to prevent drying, cracking, and warping.

  • Seal for Protection: After oiling, use a food-safe board cream or beeswax to enhance moisture resistance.

  • Avoid Heat & Moisture Extremes: Keep the block away from prolonged heat, standing water, and high humidity.

  • Rotate Cutting Areas: Vary cutting zones to minimize deep wear in one spot.

  • Natural Sanitation: Occasionally use coarse salt and lemon to lift stains and neutralize odors without harming the wood.
