The Santa Fe Impact155 dehumidifier is the perfect solution for removing excess moisture from large basements and crawl spaces. At AHAM rating conditions (80°F at 60% humidity), the large-capacity unit removes up to 155 pints of moisture per day and covers up to 4,000 square feet.
At complete saturation (100% relative humidity), the dehumidifier’s capacity doubles to an impressive 310 pints per day.
Easy Humidity Control
For easy humidity control, the unit features 3 humidity settings – dry, normal, and humid – to help you choose the best level for your space. Simply move the humidity control knob to your desired setting. The dehumidifier will run intermittently to maintain the set humidity level.
Designed To Fit Your Needs
This crawl space and basement dehumidifier features a horizontal design that helps it fit easily into narrow and tight spaces. Place the unit in a finished basement, an unfinished basement, or on open ground in your crawl space. Because of its shorter footprint, the dehumidifier can be installed wherever it is convenient.
How It Works
The Santa Fe Impact155 dehumidifier uses a CFC-free refrigerant to draw in a stream of warm, humid air at the front of the unit and pass it through 1 of 2 evaporator coils. At this coil, the air temperature is cooled to below its dew point, condensing moisture in the process and dripping the water into the unit’s reservoir or, if equipped, a hose for draining.
Following this process, the now cooled and dried air passes through a second coil where it is reheated and blown out into the room or crawl space. This Santa Fe dehumidifier performs dual-air distribution by blowing the reheated air out into the surrounding space from each side of the unit, which results in quicker and more efficient dehumidification and a well-balanced humidity level.
Setting Up A Drain Trap
Santa Fe recommends setting up a drain trap when installing any of its horizontal dehumidifiers, including this model (formerly known as the Max Dry Dual XT). This prevents air from moving back up through the hose and backflowing water into the machine.
This also prevents potential water leaks from the corners of each unit. It's easy to create a drain trap using the included drain hose or a separate PVC trap. Watch this video on how to create a drain trap for your Santa Fe dehumidifier to learn more.
Condensate Pump Option
If the gravity drain option is not aligned with your drainage needs, a condensate pump is also available. This kit will give you the option of running the drain hose upward and out through a window or around a doorway to your yard or garden. The condensate pump is energy-efficient and works with a float switch that directs the pump to run only when necessary.
Ducting Options
There are several options for ducting this Santa Fe dehumidifier for operation in a number of spaces at once. This also allows you to hide the unit in a storage space. Inlet (12-inch. ducting) and outlet (10-inch ducting) duct accessory kits are available to suit your needs. Setup configurations include:
